Harry and Meghan’s ‘Nightmare’ Just Got Exposed To The World

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, appeared to be on a path towards reconciliation with the royal family, but the release of Omid Scobie’s controversial new book, “Endgame,” has potentially shattered those bridges.

The book makes explosive claims, including Prince William attempting to upstage King Charles and Princess of Wales being described as “cold” while allegedly ignoring Meghan’s “cries for help.”

Scobie also suggests that King Charles referred to Harry as “that fool” after the release of his Netflix documentary.

The timing of the book release is particularly challenging, given recent attempts by Harry and Meghan to reconnect with the royal family.

The couple reportedly called King Charles to wish him a happy 75th birthday, marking their first conversation in six months. They even sent a video message from their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. There were rumors that Harry and Meghan might consider an invitation to spend Christmas at Sandringham Palace if offered.

However, royal expert Duncan Larcombe believes that Scobie’s book has jeopardized any chance of reconciliation.

He states, “It has put them right back to square one. There’s now pressure being put on Harry to come out and distance himself from the book, and I think that will be very tempting for him to do because it seems he has been trying to soften his tone towards the royals. The timing of the book couldn’t be worse for Harry. I think it’s his worst nightmare.”

While Scobie claims he was not briefed by Harry and Meghan, suspicions linger, especially regarding Meghan’s role. Duncan points out that people may find it hard to believe Meghan, considering her previous contradiction regarding contributing to the 2020 book “Finding Freedom.” Duncan states, “It doesn’t matter what Meghan says as, frankly, I don’t think everyone will believe her. In my opinion, people will always conclude that she’s played some kind of indirect role in some of the information that Scobie has revealed.”

Scobie asserts that he spoke to individuals around the couple for his tell-all account, adding to the growing paranoia about trust within Harry and Meghan’s circle. Duncan notes that Harry, in particular, has struggled with trust, and the book may intensify their wariness. He explains, “Harry has always found it hard to trust people. Since moving to California, they’ve kept a very small circle of friends.”

The book also claims that Charles and Meghan exchanged letters post-Oprah interview, potentially revealing the individuals Meghan accused of expressing concerns about Archie’s skin color.

Duncan believes this revelation will frustrate Charles and William, reigniting the issue of alleged royal racism. He comments, “It’s an issue that won’t go away and that is bad for the royals. Charles will have hoped that it was all in the past and that the water was flowing under the bridge, but this book has just completely ripped it open again.”

As for the possibility of reconciliation, Duncan suggests it’s less likely now, though never entirely ruled out. He concludes, “But this book has made it less likely. And it seems that at this moment, there is no hope whatsoever.” The ongoing drama between Harry, Meghan, and the royal family continues, leaving the future uncertain.
