Here’s what will happen to Graceland

On Sunday, Lisa Marie Presley’s ultimate resting place, Graceland, will host a public memorial service. The news comes as Yahoo Entertainment can confirm that her three surviving daughters, Riley Keough, 33, and twins Harper and Finley Lockwood, 14, will receive Elvis Presley’s illustrious home in Tennessee.

According to a representative for Keough, “Riley, Harper, Finley, and Priscilla are appreciative for the support, well-wishes, and outpouring of love commemorating their beloved Lisa Marie,” and the service will be held on the front lawn of Graceland on January 22 at 9 a.m. The family requests donations to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation in place of flowers from those who wish to send them.

The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation provides assistance to numerous groups, concentrating particularly on initiatives for kids, teachers, and artists in the Memphis/Whitehaven region close to Graceland.

When he was barely 22 years old in 1957, Elvis bought the 500-acre plantation. He passed away there in 1977. The only child of the illustrious celebrity, Lisa Marie, became the sole heir to the estate when she reached 25. According to a Graceland representative, Riley, Harper, and Finley will be the estate’s heirs.

At Graceland, Lisa Marie will be buried “near to her adored son Ben,” who committed suicide in 2020. Months after the incident, she quietly sold the estate in Calabasas, California where he had died because she reportedly “could not step foot inside the home.” After Ben’s passing, the singer-songwriter experienced “suffocating and bottomless” agony, and now her daughters are experiencing a similar level of loss.

The twins have apparently spent a lot of time at the Presley family matriarch’s Los Angeles home since they allegedly do not want to go back there, where Lisa Marie suffered a cardiac arrest. The family relies on one another for support, and Riley is said to have been there as well. Yahoo’s request for comment was not answered by a representative for the family.

On January 12, Lisa Marie suffered a heart attack at her home in the Agoura Hills/Calabasas neighborhood. Priscilla announced “the sad news” of her daughter’s passing a few hours later.

Priscilla remarked, “She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known. “We request discretion as we work to process this tragic loss. Thank you for your prayers and kindness. No more commentary will be made at this time.”
