Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have embarked on a new school year. On September 3, the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton returned to Lambrook School, where they will spend their last year together.
Later this year, the Wales family will undergo a significant transition when they move. However, despite the numerous changes ahead, Prince William is said to be on one mission and one mission only: to provide the best for his children. Itโs all about giving them something the prince himself never had.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have spent the summer outside of the spotlight alongside their parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton. Exactly what they have been up to, we donโt know, but they have most likely spent plenty of time at their country house, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk.
Moreover, Prince George and Princess Charlotte got to join their parents for the Wimbledon finals in July. Louis, meanwhile, is still considered a little young. The 7-year-old, who is fourth in the line of succession โ after his father and two older siblings โ was last seen when the royals attended the church service in late August in Crathie, Scotland, not far from Balmoral.
Before that, Louis also attended the Trooping the Color celebration in July alongside his family, where he again, as in most of his public appearances, stole the show with his antics.
Summer is over and Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to return to their royal duties. Additionally, the children have just returned to Lambrook School, with this year marking the final one where theyโll attend the same school. Prince George, who turns 13 next year, is tipped to attend Eton College next fall.
Prince William wants to give his children the childhood he โnever hadโ
How much George truly comprehends about his future, and the fact that he is second in line to the throne, is unknown. However, according to expert and former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, William and Kate are waiting as long as possible to tell their children the finer details of their respective future roles.
William and Kate have learned a great deal from Prince Harryโs royal exit, where the Duke referred to himself as a โspare.โ The last thing William wants for his children is for them to be put in different boxes depending on the roles their order of birth assigns them.
โWilliam is focused on creating a stable and private family lifeโthe kind he never had when he was growing up,โ Jennie Bond told GB News. โAnd so he wants to keep his family firmly rooted.โ
โHeโs already defined the way he wants to do things. He calls it royalty with a small โr,’โ The royal expert continued, adding that she thinks a โโforeverโ home at Forest Lodge is in keeping with that philosophy.โ
Forest Lodge is a place many royal fans arenโt familiar with. So why did Bond bring that up? Well, the house will be seen in newspapers all over from now on, as William and Kate have decided to leave Adelaide Cottage behind and move to another property on the Windsor grounds
Leaving Adelaide Cottage
The Wales family moved to Adelaide Cottage in August 2022. Now, following a very challenging time โ not least considering Kate Middletonโs cancer diagnosis and treatment โ they have decided to make a big change and move.
โWindsor has become their home. However, over the last few years while they have lived at Adelaide Cottage there have been some really difficult times,โ a royal source told theย BBCย in mid-August.
The source added that moving to the eight-bedroom house, (an upgrade on the four-bedroomed Adelaide Cottage) has given them โan opportunity for a fresh start and a new chapter and to leave โsome of the more unhappy memories behind.โ
Additionally, Prince William and Kate Middleton see Forset Lodge as their forever home, as it is also where they plan to live when they become king and queen. Just as at Adelaide Cottage, William and Kate wonโt have any staff live-in, as they want to create a private environment. Theyโll also reportedly be funding the necessary renovations themselves.
