Joanna Gaines Hospital Photo Has Fans Praying For Her

Joanna Gaines, the beloved HGTV star known for her work on the hit show “Fixer Upper,” recently shared a health update with her fans on Instagram. In the post, she explained that she had to undergo surgery for a back injury that she sustained during a cheerleading event in high school.

Joanna wrote that she injured her back during a “basket toss turned back injury” while cheerleading, and that she has been dealing with the consequences ever since.

This was not the first time Joanna has had to undergo this procedure, as she previously had a microdisectomy (a surgery performed on herniated lumbar discs) back in 2001. In fact, the timing of that surgery was truly terrible, as it resulted in her having to cancel her second date with her future husband, Chip Carter Gaines. Unfortunately, Joanna had to have the same procedure two weeks ago, just before the holiday season.

In her Instagram post, Joanna shared that she was feeling a bit stressed about the timing of the surgery, as it came during the busiest time of the year. However, she also expressed gratitude for the forced rest that the surgery and recovery period provided. She wrote, “It has been a gift to simply stay put, stare at the wonder all around, and just be still.”

Joanna ended her post by sending good vibes to her followers and wishing them a beautiful Christmas week. She encouraged them to embrace the wonder of the present moment, even if things don’t go as planned. It’s clear that Joanna is a strong and resilient woman who is taking her recovery one day at a time. Here’s to hoping that she rests up and feels better soon.
