Joe Biden stepped back into the public eye, making a significant appearance with a heartfelt message from Chicago.
This marked a special occasion for the former president, who on Tuesday, April 15, addressed a bipartisan conference in Chicago, delivering his first formal speech since leaving office. This rare public appearance generated quite a buzz.
The event took place at the Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile and was hosted by the organization Advocates, Counselors, and Representatives for the Disabled (ACRD). The main focus of the conference was the protection of Social Security.
During his speech, Biden expressed strong criticism of the current administration’s management of the Social Security Administration.
“In less than 100 days, this administration has inflicted such harm and caused so much destruction—it’s astonishing how fast it happened,” he stated.

He called attention to the cuts and changes within the agency. “They’ve essentially wielded a hatchet at Social Security, forcing 7,000 employees to leave,” he asserted.

Biden shared concerns about access issues faced by people, saying, “Folks can’t even access their accounts now,” adding a pointed question, “Who in the world do they think they are?”
He went on to suggest that there might be deeper, ulterior motives behind these changes. “They’re all about shooting first and aiming later. Their aim is to wreck it so they can loot it. And why? To hand out tax breaks to billionaires and major corporations.”
Wearing a deep blue suit, complemented by a white shirt and a matching blue tie, Biden stood against a backdrop of American flags and the ACRD logo, presenting himself with his usual composed and focused demeanor.
With his neatly styled silver hair, Biden looked energized as he addressed the audience, occasionally using gestures to emphasize his points. The setting featured two teleprompters and a U.S. presidential seal was prominently displayed on the lectern.
His speech quickly caught fire on social media, sparking wide discussion. Many viewers expressed a sense of surprise and admiration. On X, one person noted, “Biden seems rejuvenated.” Another remarked, “Biden appears healthy and revitalized.”
On YouTube, similar sentiments echoed. A viewer commented, “Wow, he looks much healthier and less stressed. This shows how taxing the presidency is.”
Another shared, “I miss you, Joe Biden. You look fantastic.” Further comments included, “He looks refreshed. I’m happy he’s had some time to relax,” while another remarked, “He seems to have had a bit of work done.”
Over on Instagram, emotional responses mingled with admiration for the former president. One comment read, “Omg. I miss him so much. Things are quite tense here.” Another person chimed in, “President Biden is so impressive!”
