‘Karate Kid’ Actor And Son Of Legendary Hollywood Actors Passed Away

Chad McQueen, Karate Kid actor and son of legendary Steve McQueen, passed away. He was 63. He played Dutch, a member of the villainous Cobra Kai dojo in the *Karate Kid’ *movies.

TMZ reported the actor died Wednesday due to organ failure. He died at his ranch in Palm Desert, California per his long-serving attorney Arthur Barens. His children, life partner and his attorney were all with him when he passed away. TMZ has learned he suffered an injury a couple of years back, and this led to the ongoing organ failure, which led to his death.

Chad McQueen, born on December 28, 1960, was an American actor, producer, martial artist, and race car driver. He is the son of the legendary actor Steve McQueen and actress Neile Adams.

In the 1980s, Chad gained attention in the film industry through roles in action and martial arts films. He is perhaps best known for his role as Dutch in the 1984 cult classic

The Karate Kid And its sequel The Karate Kid Part II. Dutch, a member of the villainous Cobra Kai dojo, played a significant role in helping make the Cobra Kai gang memorable rivals. His on-screen martial arts skills reflected his real-life dedication to the discipline, as McQueen had trained extensively in martial arts, especially in karate. He had roles in other movies such as Martial Law in 1991 and in the 1993 film New York Cop with Mira Sorvino and in the action film Red Line.

He was a passionate race car driver, having competed in various motorsports events, including the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Racing has always been in his blood, as his father was also a racing enthusiast, but Chad took it further by competing professionally. In 2006, he suffered a near-fatal crash during practice for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, which led him to retire from professional racing.
