Prince George is growing up.
The young prince, the son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, is already 11 years old. It won’t be long before he transitions from his current school.
According to a source mentioned by The Mirror, George’s parents are deep in discussions about the best school for their firstborn after he completes elementary studies. There is a difference in opinion between his parents, and it seems William’s suggestion is leaving Kate feeling quite “heartbroken.”
The BBC reports that Lambrook, the primary school where George currently studies with his younger siblings—9-year-old Princess Charlotte and 6-year-old Prince Louis—is a co-educational institution catering to children aged 3 to 13.

What’s next for George’s schooling adventure? The source with The Mirror shared, “Kate’s hope is that George will continue at a co-educated school with his siblings, similar to her experience at Marlborough with her sister, Pippa, and brother, James.”
The inside information reveals that Kate favors this because “it was such a joyful school experience for her.”
William, on the other hand, has his memories shaping his choices. His schooling at Eton, an esteemed all-boys boarding school, left a significant impression on him. The source explained, “William cherishes his Eton memories, known for its long-standing ties with aristocracy and the royal family.”
There is a desire from William for George to attend Eton, and apparently, George is excited at the idea of following his father’s footsteps.
Kate, however, reportedly finds the idea of George at Eton difficult to accept. She feels the environment might be too “stuffy.”

While William and Kate’s views on George’s future schooling seem quite different, there may be room for flexibility.
As mentioned by the source, “There’s always potential for changes in tradition.”
The source further noted that King Charles III attended a distinct boarding school compared to his own sons, suggesting that William might consider a different path for George as well.
The insider expanded on this: “William and Harry didn’t end up going to Gordonstoun [in Scotland] like their father, and George might not follow the typical Eton path either. Regardless of the outcome, the decision will carefully be made by William and Kate with what’s best for George in mind.”
What do you think George’s next school choice will be?
