Legendary Performer Postpones Vegas Shows As Health Battle Continues

Legendary singer Barry Manilow has announced a temporary pause on his Las Vegas residency as he continues to focus on his health ahead of a major arena tour later this year.

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, the 82-year-old music icon revealed that he is postponing his scheduled Feb. 12โ€“21 performances at the Westgate Las Vegas. The decision comes as Manilow recovers from a medical procedure he underwent late last year to remove a cancerous spot on his left lung.

In a statement shared with fans onย Instagram, Manilow offered reassurance about his condition and recovery. โ€œIโ€™m doing great and recovering very well after my surgery,โ€ he wrote. โ€œIโ€™ve been getting exercise and spending some time in the studio, which has been fantastic.โ€

Despite feeling strong, Manilow explained that his doctors advised him to slow down slightly before returning to a demanding performance schedule. โ€œWith my doctorโ€™s guidance and recommendation, however, we have decided to postpone my residency dates at Westgate Las Vegas from February 12โ€“21 so I can stay focused on healing and getting ready for the tour thatโ€™s kicking off at the end of February,โ€ he said. He added with his signature optimism, โ€œHaving a few weeks to rest and prepare is what the doctor ordered!โ€

The announcement sparked an outpouring of love from fans across social media. โ€œGet well soon โค๏ธ,โ€ one supporter commented. Another wrote, โ€œ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿฉต praying for healing and strength,โ€ while a third assured the singer, โ€œTake all the time you need. We will always be here for you! Continued prayers and hugs. โค๏ธโ€

According to the venue, tickets for the postponed Las Vegas shows will be fully refundable at the original point of purchase, easing concerns for fans who had already made plans to attend.

Manilow is still expected to return to the stage later this month. His 2026 arena tour is set to kick off on Friday, Feb. 27, with a performance in Tampa, Florida, at the Benchmark International Arena. From there, the tour will travel across the East Coast and Midwest, with stops in cities including Charlotte, Baltimore, Nashville, Orlando, and Cincinnati. The tour is scheduled to wrap up at the end of April in Duluth, Georgia, at Gas South Arena.
