Little People Big World star Zach Roloff recovering after undergoing emergency brain surgery: ‘It’s been a scary 72 hours’

Little People Big World star Zach Roloff is on the mend after undergoing emergency brain surgery, his wife Tori Roloff has revealed.

Tori detailed the ‘scary’ 72 hours which had just transpired as she shared photos of her husband from his hospital bed on Thursday, seemingly taken after his shunt revision procedure.

The photos showed Zach, 32, with a bandage wrapped around his head and numerous wires attached to his chest. However, he appeared in good spirits as he gave the camera a thumb’s up.

Not exactly how we saw our week going…’ Tori, who welcomed her third child with Zach last year, began in the caption of the post. ‘Zachary had emergency shunt revision this morning. It’s been a scary 72 hours but he is doing well and recovering!!

‘Thank you so much to everyone for the prayers that you have covered us in. We feel them! We are so incredibly blessed by our neurosurgeon team and their attentiveness to Zach’s needs!

‘Thank you to our friends and family who have all reached out asking to help. We feel so loved and supported by you.

‘Also shout out to @amyjroloff for holding down the fort and playing hide n seek for who knows how many hours.

‘I’m here praying that Zach’s recovery is quick and easy and that this will be our answered prayers to relieving his migraines!

‘You’re a freaking bad ass, Zach. You just had brain surgery… and handled it like a rockstar. I’m so proud of you.’

Zach’s mother Amy addressed his health scare on her Instagram, apologizing to fans for having to cancel her livestream as she looked after her family.

‘You have to rise to the occasion and I was happy to be able to for Zach and Tori,’ she said. ‘I’m over here watching the grandkids while… she can be there for Zach. Zach is in the hospital.

‘He has to go through some surgery. We’re just hoping and wishing for the best with lots of prayers,’ she added.

‘If you feel like praying, I would so, so appreciate it for their family.

‘I’m a firm believer in the power of prayer. And the Good Lord answers them. Regardless, he answers them.’

Fortunately, Zachary is now on the road to recovery.

The health scare comes several less than a year after Zach and Tori welcomed their third child together, son Josiah Luke.

In May 2022, the couple revealed to People that Josiah has dwarfism.

The reality stars were already prepared for the news, as Zach and their other two children — Jackson, five, and Lylah, three — have the same form of dwarfism.

Josiah has achondroplasia, which is also the most common form of dwarfism.

Tori previously told People that Josiah’s siblings were ‘slightly obsessed with him and it’s adorable.’

‘They’re just both very concerned about where he is, what he is doing. They take turns feeding him the bottle and want to bring him blankies and binkies,’ she told the outlet in May 2022.

She also indicated she as probably done having children after baby number three, though she wouldn’t completely rule out more.

‘I’d never say never because already I can’t believe that those first few days are already over. This one’s been more emotional this time just because I went into it with the mindset that this is most likely our last baby,’ she said.

Tori and Zach originally announced her pregnancy with Josiah just eight months after she suffered a miscarriage.
