Madonna can’t hold back her tears

The artist Madonna’s older brother Anthony Ciccone passed away at the age of 66. Joseph Henry, Ciccone’s brother-in-law, shared the tragic news on Instagram on February 26.

Anthony Gerard Ciccone, my brother-in-law, left this world yesterday night, Henry wrote. “Anthony had a complicated personality, and as true brothers can, we occasionally clashed. Nonetheless, I liked him and knew him more than I often wanted to admit. But, the difficulty passes and the family is still there, reaching across the table. Brother Anthony, good bye for now.”

Ciccone’s cause of death is yet unknown. However, as Henry’s remark implies, Ciccone did not lead a simple life because he had a history of drug abuse problems and had to struggle with homelessness. Ciccone berated his famous sister back in 2011 for not saving him from a protracted period of homelessness.

Ciccone told the Daily Mail, “Madonna doesn’t give a s**t if I’m dead or alive. “She inhabits a separate universe. ‘ She has never loved me, and I have never loved her. We never felt love for one another.” Moreover, Ciccone disparaged his father, saying that he would be “glad if I died of hypothermia and so he would not have to worry about it anymore.”

Madonna has not yet commented on the untimely loss of Ciccone.

It’s probable that Madonna and her brother didn’t get along, though.

Anthony Ciccone’s life was very different from Madonna’s, who became famous all over the world through her singing career and amassed a $850 million fortune.

Yet in recent years, Ciccone had trouble maintaining his sobriety and had trouble finding long-term accommodation.

Although it’s unclear when Ciccone’s issues first surfaced, it seems that they worsened when he was employed by his father’s winery. The Daily Mail claims that Ciccone’s family sacked him after discovering that he had been taking wine from the company’s vats.

A year later, Ciccone addressed the city’s homelessness crisis in an interview with The Michigan Messenger and made similarly hurtful remarks about his family. The Hollywood Reporter quotes Ciccone as saying, “My family basically turned their back on me while I was having a rough time.” You think I haven’t addressed the subject of why my sister is a multi-billionaire while I am a homeless person on the streets a gazillion times?

Despite Ciccone’s earlier remarks, according to the Daily Mail, his family attempted to get him into a recovery facility in 2017. It’s unknown if Ciccone was in a better position at the time of his death or if this rehab stint was successful. Of course, we hope so.
