Mark Consuelos Tells Kelly Ripa He Doesn’t Want More Children

Mark Consuelos stated that while he does not intend to have any more children, he is “looking forward to being a grandfather.”

Mark Consuelos has no children but looks forward to taking on a new role as a grandparent someday.

In a sneak peek from Kelly Ripa’s new podcast Let’s Chat Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, Ripa asks hubby Consuelos if he would ever remarry.

Consuelos, 51, reveals that he would not remarry after Ripa since he “isn’t going to have any more kids.”

“I don’t want any more children. “I’ll be the older father,” he says.

“Do you know how many older men I know who were just starting to have kids?” Ripa continues.

“Yeah. And the poor guys have no idea what comes next. “You’re talking about hip and knee replacements, and they’re going to be that father, not that there’s anything wrong with that father,” he says. “But, I did it early. That was not my intention. It happened quite recently. And we were quite fortunate in doing so when we did so.”

“I thought it was a little early. We should have had at least a year or two to ourselves. So, no, I think I’m looking forward to being a grandfather,” Consuelos says. “I’m very excited about that. That’s about all the parenting I desire.

Consuelos and Ripa have three children: a boy named Michael, 25, Joaquin, 20, and a daughter named Lola, 21.

Last month, the 52-year-old mother of three honored her son’s 20th birthday with some sweet throwback photographs on her Instagram Story, later remarking on Live with Kelly and Ryan that witnessing her children grow up has gone by like a “flash.”

Ripa celebrated her son’s birthday on the morning talk show. “This is my son’s 20th birthday. “The newborn,” she explained to co-host Ryan Seacrest.

“Does it seem to fly by? “I realize it’s a long trip,” Seacrest told Ripa.

“Nah, it’s only a flash. “It’s only a minute,” she insisted.

“Are you and Mark, on the other hand, so pleased and proud? You accomplished it; you raised three wonderful children who are now grownups.”

“We’re so glad we did it when we did because now I’m like, ‘Imagine if our kids were this age now?’” Ripa remarked.

Let’s Chat Off Camera with Kelly Ripa is produced with SiriusXM by Consuelos & Ripa’s Milojo Productions. Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen, Carol Burnett, and Matthew McConaughey are among the first guests on the podcast, which will premiere on March 22.
