May God watch over music legend Steven Tyler

Due to the fact that frontman Steven Tyler is currently recovering from an unexplained illness, Aerosmith has been forced to postpone two of its residency gigs in Las Vegas.

The band stated that the “Dream On” vocalist, who is 74 years old, need further recuperation, so they canceled the second gig of their Deuces Are Wild engagement, which was scheduled to take place on Monday night at the Dolby Live Theater at Park MGM.

In a statement, Tyler explained, “On the recommendation of my doctor, I’m taking more time to relax.”  There is no other place in the world where we would rather be than on stage performing in front of our most devoted fans.

The band issued an apology to their devoted following as the final part of their message, which was published on social media.

The statement comes a few days after Friday night’s gig was also canceled, with Aerosmith claiming that the concert was canceled “due to Steven feeling sick and being unable to perform.” The concert was canceled “with tremendous disappointment,” according to Aerosmith. At the time, Aerosmith stated that the rocker was anticipated to make a full recovery in time for Monday’s performance.

The performances that were planned for this band on Thursday and Sunday of this week are still expected to take place.

The residency for Aerosmith began in September, three months after its initial launch date had been pushed back in order for Tyler to seek treatment for substance abuse. The residency was originally scheduled to begin in May.

After undergoing surgery on his foot, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers revealed in May that Tyler had experienced a relapse of his illness.

The band Aerosmith released a statement on social media at the time, in which they said, “As many of you know, our loving brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years.” “After having foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management while the procedure was going on, he has lately relapsed and willingly entered a treatment program in order to concentrate on his health and recovery.”

In July, the celebrity finished up his treatment at the rehabilitation facility, and at the time, a representative stated that he was “doing really well and looking forward to being back on stage.”
