Meghan Markle Shares Emotional Health Update After Recent Diagnosis

Meghan Markle recently opened up about a very emotional health challenge following a difficult diagnosis she made public. Sharing this deeply personal update, Meghan chose the first episode of her new podcast, “Confessions of a Female Founder,” to connect with her audience.

This announcement coincides with Meghan’s return to podcasting after her previous series, “Archetypes,” concluded with 12 episodes on Spotify before being cancelled. Her new podcast forms part of a collection of independent ventures as she steps away from her collaborative work with Prince Harry.

Moreover, Meghan has rebranded her lifestyle line, previously known as “American Riviera Orchard,” which she now calls “As Ever.” The relaunch featured an enticing array of products like teas, jams, honey, crepe mix, and edible flower sprinkles. These items proved immensely popular, selling out within an hour of their release.

On another note, her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan” is set to return for another season. Although reactions were mixed, the series continues to captivate viewers worldwide.

During the inaugural episode of her new podcast, Meghan engaged in a heartfelt conversation with Whitney Wolfe Herd, founder of Bumble. They discussed the trials of entrepreneurship alongside motherhood. Meghan took the opportunity to share her recent health struggle, catching many listeners by surprise.

In her conversation with Herd, Meghan remarked on how both faced similar challenges, despite not knowing each other at the time. She spoke candidly about the difficulties of maintaining a public image while dealing with health issues.

“People are unaware of what happens in the quiet moments,” Meghan explained. “You’re trying to be there for your family, especially your children, amid significant medical concerns.”

Both Meghan and Herd have dealt with postpartum preeclampsia, a rare condition marked by high blood pressure and an excess of protein in the urine following childbirth. As explained by Herd, this condition can be life-threatening.

It’s crucial to seek immediate treatment for postpartum preeclampsia as neglecting it can lead to seizures and other severe issues, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Herd reminisced about Meghan’s first public appearance after giving birth to Archie. “I vividly remember the image of you after Archie was born, as the entire world awaited his introduction,” said Herd during the podcast.

“I was on the verge of becoming a mom myself, and I thought, ‘Wow, how does she do it?’ seeing you appear gracefully in heels and a dazzling outfit with your newborn in front of everyone.”

Herd included a personal anecdote, “I couldn’t even manage to greet a delivery person in my robe, let alone face a global audience like you did.”
