Melania Stops Rumors About Barron’s College Rejections

Melania Trump has taken on the role of a dedicated protector and supporter of her son, Barron.

Last fall, the young Trump departed from Palm Beach, Florida, returning to New York City. He is now attending Stern Business School at New York University (NYU). Although Donald Trump previously mentioned that they had several schools in mind for Barron, a new rumor has been making rounds online, suggesting he wasn’t admitted to one of the anticipated institutions.

In response, Melania Trump is setting the record straight to halt the speculations.

Having spent years living in the White House, followed by their time in Palm Beach, Barron Trump, at 18, found himself back in his hometown of New York. He joined Stern Business School at NYU last autumn.

In an interview with The Daily Mail last year, Donald Trump shared that Barron considered Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, echoing his own educational path. Ultimately, Barron decided to pursue his studies in New York City.

Stern Business School is renowned as one of the top business schools in the country, with only a 5% acceptance rate for its undergraduate program.

“It’s a top-tier institution. He liked it. He liked the school,” Donald expressed. “We’ve had a favorable view of NYU for a long time; it’s ranked exceedingly high.”

Donald continued, “My experience at Wharton was noteworthy and we thought about it. However, we opted for Stern. Barron’s gifted with high aptitude, but he’s grown beyond childhood, advancing splendidly.”

Barron Trump’s College Experience

Similar to his high school years in Palm Beach, Barron’s academic life at NYU is largely private. In December, Melania shared some glimpses about Barron’s college life, revealing it differs significantly from the typical college experience due to his unique position.

“Barron cannot have an ordinary college experience like most kids,” Melania mentioned to Fox. “He’s aware of his unique situation and stands strong.”

Being the son of the former U.S. President, real estate tycoon, and TV personality comes with its own set of challenges for Barron. He’s constantly accompanied by the Secret Service as he navigates campus life, potentially daunting for those seeking to befriend him.

Even though Barron might not lead a “normal” college life, making lasting friendships is still possible. Currently, however, details about his social circle remain undisclosed.

According to TMZ, Barron is attempting to make friends by diving into online gaming. It’s reported that Barron has invited classmates to join him on Discord, a platform where users can game and chat. As a soccer fan, Barron enjoys games like EA Sports FC 25.

Was Barron Trump Turned Down by Ivy Leagues?

On a lighter note, People Magazine shared insights from a source, saying that Barron is quite popular among his female peers.

“He’s enrolled at Stern and seems to have a focus on business,” the source conveyed. “He’s definitely a charmer, very popular with the ladies. His height and good looks have won liberal folks over as well.”

Much about Barron’s life or performance in academics remains under wraps. However, his applications to top U.S. schools reflect high academic standing. Yet, rumors have surfaced disputing his freedom in choosing universities based on acceptance grounds.

Nicki Swift pointed to online rumors claiming Barron faced rejection from prominent schools like Harvard, Columbia, and Stanford. These rumors gained traction from a Facebook post which stated, “Which colleges didn’t Barron Trump get accepted to? Harvard. Stanford. Columbia. Despite the Trump fortune, their pledges didn’t sway admissions.”

Fact-checkers Snopes delved into the narrative about Barron’s supposed rejections but discovered no substantial evidence supporting those claims.

Melania Trump Directly Addresses Rejection Rumors

Although verified confirmations are absent, Melania decided to address the circulating rumors decisively. Her spokesperson debunked the allegations entirely, branding them as “completely false.”

Through Nick Clemens, her representative, Melania stated, “Barron never applied to Harvard, nor did anyone apply on his behalf. Such assertions don’t hold any truth,” as conveyed to Snopes.

Interestingly, Harvard finds itself amidst other academic institutions criticized by Donald Trump, charging them with insufficient measures to safeguard Jewish students.

Furthermore, he’s accused Harvard of being anti-Semitic following significant demonstrations linked to the Israel-Hamas conflict on campus, criticizing their high intake of international students. This contention has escalated into several legal challenges.
