There’s still uncertainty surrounding whether Melania will move back into the White House. However, an intriguing debate has captured the internet’s attention regarding whether Melania Trump was truly by her husband’s side when Donald cast his vote for the 2024 election. Could it really have been a body double? Some believe there’s evidence to support this theory.

Late Tuesday evening, many television networks and newspapers began projecting President-elect Donald Trump as America’s 47th president. It’s now confirmed. He becomes only the second President to win two nonconsecutive terms and will make his return to the White House in January. Early Wednesday, Trump addressed his supporters from Florida, expressing his gratitude for their support.

Donald Trump Commends Melania During Victory Speech

“We have a country that needs help, and it needs help very badly. We’re going to fix our borders, and we’re going to fix everything about our country,” Trump declared. He pledged to Americans that “every single day I will be fighting for you,” promising a “golden age of America.”

Trump was surrounded by close family members, including his wife, Melania Trump, and children. He and Melania’s son, Barron Trump, just turned 18 and voted for the first time in this election. In his early Wednesday speech, Trump praised Melania, mentioning her memoir as the top-selling book in the country.

“She works very hard to help people. So, I just wanted to thank her,” Trump remarked.

Melania was actively involved in her husband’s past presidential campaigns, yet in 2024, her role shifted significantly. Earlier this year, Melania released her memoir, where she openly disagreed with her husband’s stance on abortion, advocating for women’s reproductive rights.

“It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government,” Melania articulated in her memoir titled “Melania.”

“Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body?” she further expressed. “A woman’s fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes.”

Following Donald’s defeat in the 2020 race to President Joe Biden, Melania largely withdrew from public view. She’s remained absent from Donald Trump’s public events, including the recent presidential campaign.

Curiosity about her whereabouts was widespread, especially among Trump supporters. During a town hall meeting in February, Fox News Host Laura Ingraham questioned Donald about Melania’s involvement in his rallies. Trump stated that Melania was devoted to their son, Barron.

“They love her, I’ll tell you,” Trump responded. “And you know her. She’s a very brilliant person. She speaks many languages, the whole thing.”

“Her life revolves around that boy, [he’s] so important to her. At the same time, it also revolves around our country and the success of our country. She’s raised a lot of money for charity.”

Barron Trump embarked on his first year at New York University in September. This is reportedly why Melania hasn’t accompanied Donald on the campaign trail; she has been focusing on supporting her son.

Melania’s Reluctance to Fully Reside in the White House?

The former and future First Lady hasn’t spoken much about her husband’s presidential campaign, leaving many to wonder if she will join him at the White House.

People Magazine consulted sources “in Melania’s orbit.”

“If Melania becomes First Lady again, people naturally expect her to move into the White House and fulfill her duties,” a close family source stated, adding that Melania isn’t keen about moving to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

“She will have her private living quarters there and her homes in New York and Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. She plans to split her time among these places,” concluded the source, noting that the White House might not be her primary residence.

On election day, Melania Trump finally made her public appearance by Donald’s side as they voted at the Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center in Palm Beach, Florida.

Some social media users noticed Melania’s apparent lack of enthusiasm for being back in the public eye, with one remarking that she seemed more “like she was attending a funeral.”

Expert Comments on Melania’s Election Day Demeanor

It wasn’t just social media user chatter about Melania’s appearance. Body language expert Judi James shared insights with the Mirror on Melania’s election day demeanor, noting it differed from her previous appearances.

“By Melania’s normal standards, this is a very subdued, down-played look as she accompanies her somewhat lackluster husband, with his slumped shoulders and a partially concealed face under a baseball cap, to cast their votes,” Judi told the Mirror. “Her smile seems almost compensatory here as Trump’s facial expression remains stern, and he graciously gestures for her to walk in first.”

The body language expert continued: “Melania’s FLOTUS attire tended to be bold, distinctive numbers that evolved into tailored power-suits as their term progressed. This casual shirt dress with her softly flowing hair has no resemblance to her former looks. Their self-described confidence does not align with the body language seen in these photos.”

So, while Melania might not have been excited to step back into the spotlight, according to a new theory, she wasn’t there at all. The internet erupted over a rather ludicrous theory suggesting it was a body double present.

‘Fake Melania Trump’ Theory Takes the Internet by Storm

On election day, Melania Trump opted for a stylish Christian Dior black-and-white polka dot dress, similar to what she wore for her Fox News interview in September to promote her memoir. Yet, as Medias Touch editor Ron Filipkowski shared a clip with Melania highlighting she had “been wearing sunglasses inside all day,” conspiracy theories began circulating.

Speculation grew that a body double had replaced her for photo ops. “This is absolutely, categorically not Melania,” one social media user posted, according to the Daily Mail. “This imposter’s been wearing sunglasses indoors all day.”

Another declared: ‘How is a man who walks around with a fake wife even a contender for president?’ Meanwhile, a different user commented: “The real Melania couldn’t appear on time, so they retrieved the doppelganger from the sidelines.”

The Daily Beast reported another user pointing out specific details to “prove” it was a “fake Melania.”
