Melanie Lynskey opens up about her health problems

Melanie Lynskey is being transparent about her past struggles with her physique and how she came to love and respect her own flesh.

The actress who portrayed Rose on “Two and a Half Men,” Lynnskey, spoke about how she struggled with her “unusual body” and developed serious eating disorders that endangered her health in an interview with People magazine.

Lynskey claimed, “I was going insane trying to fit into something that was not physically possible for me. “I spent a long time feeling awful. I struggled with my diet, and at one time I thought, “I’m not going to make it.”

The “Togetherness” actress listed emotional distress and hair loss as some of the repercussions of her eating disorders. My hair was falling out and I was so depressed, Lynskey recalled.

The 38-year-old Lynskey said she overcame her body insecurities and is now confident in her appearance.

I just need to appear the way I’m supposed to look, and I have trust that people will want to use someone who looks like this in a movie or on a television program, Lynskey said. “You can’t fake it,” she said, “so I did have to really learn to be at ease with myself.”

Lynskey stated that she no longer accepts parts that attempt to represent her size negatively.

It’s not like anything wild is going over here, but it’s depicted as though it is because I’m a size 8, Lynskey remarked. As an actress, I used to receive a lot of offers for projects like The Fat Friend and similar ones, but I would always fiercely refuse them.

In addition, Lynskey stated that she enjoys not having to live up to an “unrealistic expectations” and being able to play characters with “a different shape than a lot of women that are on television.” The actress acknowledged that her fans’ encouragement inspires and gives her confidence.

Many women resemble me, Lynskey remarked. I occasionally run with women who express their gratitude for seeing a reflection of themselves in anything on Twitter or in person.
