Mia Farrow is speaking up for the first time about the passing of her three deceased children, Tam, Lark, and Thaddeus.
The actress, who is 76 years old, addressed what she called the “vicious rumors” that have been spreading recently concerning their deaths by posting a lengthy statement on Twitter on Wednesday.
Farrow started up by saying, “I am the mother of fourteen children, and my family is everything to me.” “Although I went into a field of work that required me to interact with the general public, the vast majority of my offspring have chosen to lead relatively secluded lives.”
Farrow explained that she is “selective” in what she posts to social media in order to respect their wishes to remain private. However, in light of “vicious rumors based in untruths” that she said have “appeared online” concerning her three late adoptive children, she decided to speak out and clear the air about the situation.
Farrow shared, “My cherished daughter Tam lost away at the age of 17 from an accidental pharmaceutical overdose connected to the excruciating migraines she endured, as well as her heart problem.”
Farrow referred to Lark as a “amazing woman” before her passing in 2008, praising her as a beautiful daughter, sister, partner, and mother to her own children. Lark had passed away in 2008.
According to what she heard, “she died at the age of 35 from consequences of HIV/AIDS, which she received from a former lover.” “In spite of her disease, she had a fulfilling life filled with love and happiness with her children and her long-term boyfriend. She could no longer fight her sickness and passed away unexpectedly on Christmas day in the hospital, as her partner was holding her.”
Farrow went on to reveal that her “brave” son, Thaddeus, had committed suicide at the age of 29 after an abrupt breakup in a relationship he was involved in.
The fact that Tam, Lark, and Thaddeus were not mentioned in the most recent episode of the HBO documentary series Allen v. Farrow has led to many rumors and speculations on their demise on the internet. Some of Farrow’s detractors brought up a blog post written by her estranged son Moses in 2018 that was critical of her and other family members.
Farrow stated that on Wednesday, she said that these “are unutterable tragedies.” Any further speculation regarding their passing would be a disservice to their lives as well as the lives of their children and other loved ones.
The actress best known for her role in Rosemary’s Baby closed her message by expressing her “gratitude” for the opportunity to raise 14 children and 16 grandchildren.
She said that although though they had experienced sadness in the past, their lives now were “full of love and joy.” “Everyone has their own problems that they need to solve and their own struggles that they must overcome. I am thinking of you with the highest of hopes and all of my love.”
