Mia Robertson, daughter of Missy and Jase Robertson, star of the A&E reality show Duck Dynasty, is in mourning this week after learning of the passing of a guy who had a significant impact on her life.
Dr. David Genecov, who had been treating the young patient for many years, passed away in an automobile accident on the previous Saturday. While her daughter Mia underwent a series of surgeries to fix a cleft lip and palate, Mia’s mother Missy Robertson announced the news on Instagram and explained how her husband’s talents and medical inventions made a difference.
“His caring nature helped calm her (and me), but his steadfast encouragement to both of us that we can do the hard things helped make both Mia and me stronger than we could have thought possible,” Missy says. “His steadfast encouragement to both of us that we can do the hard things helped make both of us more powerful than we could have thought possible.”
The path that Mia Robertson has been on has been documented ever since she was a very little child. In July, she went in for her 14th operation, which she believes will be the last one she needs. Her Mia Moo Fund was established to assist in making certain that each and every child gets the opportunity to smile.
According to Missy Robertson, she informed Mia about the situation, and Mia is taking it quite hard. A significant part of how the family will remember Dr. Genecov is his openness to include Mia in the decision-making process, as well as his impeccable attire.
He was more than we could have ever hoped for or dreamed of for the journey that her cleft would take. We shall miss him very much, but we are extremely grateful for the work he performed for Mia and for all of his patients who had cleft lips and palates, as well as the legacy of medical breakthroughs he leaves behind for future generations.
Mia has not yet discussed the incident in any of her posts on social media. Her mother continues by saying, “She can’t recall her life before she met Dr. David.” “We ask that you pray for his family as well as for everyone who is suffering from his passing.”
