Mick Jagger’s tears of grief.

Mick Jagger has opened up about the passing of his longtime partner L’Wren Scott.

The lead singer for the Rolling Stones has issued a message that is both heartfelt and melancholy in response to the tragic death of a fashion designer who was 49 years old and was found dead in her residence in New York City after committing suicide.

In a touching statement on his Facebook page, Jagger wrote, “I am still struggling to understand how my girlfriend and best friend could take her life in such a horrible way.” The remark was accompanied by a beautiful photo of his late spouse. We had a beautiful life together and established a great life for ourselves after spending many years together.

He went on to say that she had a powerful presence and that her talent was well respected by many people, including himself. “The heartfelt letters of encouragement and condolence that I have received, in addition to the heartfelt tributes that others have paid to her, have moved me deeply. Mick, I will never be able to forget about her.”

This announcement from Jagger came only a few hours after it was made public that the Rolling Stones would not be performing on the first date of their Australian tour this week. In the latter part of this month, the band is scheduled to play shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and Macedon.

On Monday morning, the body of Scott was discovered in her residence in New York City. A representative for Jagger revealed to E! News that the singer was “totally surprised and horrified” by the news of Scott’s suspected suicide after hearing the terrible news.

Before her passing, Jagger and Scott had been together for a total of 13 years.
