Model and influencer Haley Kalil has revealed explosive new details about her past marriage to former NFL offensive lineman Matt Kalil, shedding light on what she called the “biggest factor” behind their divorce.
During a recent appearance on Twitch with popular streamer Marlon, Haley opened up about the challenges she faced in her seven-year marriage, which ended in 2022. The 31-year-old model — who appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2019 issue — didn’t hold back as she hinted at the surprisingly intimate reason her marriage ultimately failed.
“We were trying to do the damn thing,” Haley said, referring to their efforts to make the relationship work. “Deadass… for our whole marriage, deadass. But I was going to try it all. We tried it all: therapist, doctors. Not even lying… Looked up lipo-type s–t.”
She went on to explain that despite seeking professional help, the issue persisted. “That was the biggest factor,” she admitted. “Love him, but he’s my homie. No, because he’s like .01 percent of the population. We’ve tried — impossible unless you’re going to be in tears type s–t.”
Haley’s cryptic explanation left viewers stunned, prompting Marlon to call it one of the “craziest stories” he had ever heard.
“That’s why I can’t put it on the internet,” Haley joked during the stream. “We tried it all.”
When pressed further, Haley strongly implied that Matt’s size was part of the issue, describing him as being “like two Coke cans on top of each other, maybe even a third.”
Despite the deeply personal nature of her comments, Haley emphasized that her divorce from Matt was amicable. “We were really chill people,” she said, adding that they even shared a lawyer during the proceedings. “I was on his phone plan until a few years ago.”

She also had kind words for her ex-husband, describing him as “a really good person” who “made me want to be a better person.”
Haley filed for divorce in May 2022, citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to TMZ. The couple, who wed in July 2015, had reportedly separated in January 2022.
Following the divorce, Matt Kalil, 34, moved on and married model Keilani Asmus in April 2024. The former athlete was drafted fourth overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2012 NFL Draft and made the Pro Bowl during his rookie season.
He later played for the Carolina Panthers (2017–18) and Houston Texans (2019) before retiring from professional football. Since leaving the NFL, he co-founded a tequila company, Celaya, with his brother Ryan Kalil, a former All-Pro center who played for the Panthers and the Jets.
While Matt has moved on to business ventures, Haley continues to build her brand as a model, content creator, and social media personality, amassing millions of followers across platforms.
