Netflix ‘Elite’ series actor, Julian Ortega, passed away August 25. He was 41.
According to The Sun, the actor was at Zahora Beach in Barbate, Spain and went into cardiac arrest. Paramedics were on the scene, working to revive him for 30 minutes, before they pronounced him dead.

The series is set in the fictional elite private school Las Encinas. It follows the lives of wealthy students and the three working-class teens who receive scholarships to attend the school. The clash between these two worlds sets the stage for a gripping story filled with suspense, romance, and dark secrets.
Ortega acted in six shows, playing the manager of the restaurant La Cabana back in 2018.
‘Elite’ was watched by over 20 million Netflix users within the first month the series was released.
Ortega was from Madrid and starred in some other Spanish shows such as “4 estrellas”, “Caronte,” “Untameable” and “La sue se avecina.” Per IMDb, he finished work on a new film ‘Trompeta.’
Julian’s parents are both actors: Gloria Munoz and Jose Antonio Ortega. Recently, Munoz starred in the Apple TV+ series “Land of Women.”
