Marks have now appeared on the palm of the president’s hand

Questions about President Donald Trump’s health continue to swirl as new marks have recently been observed on his hand. This comes after the White House assured the public that concerns over his health were unwarranted.
On a recent occasion, on February 24, some observant viewers noted a noticeable yellow bruise on President Trump’s right hand during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in the Oval Office. This sighting prompted a flurry of questions on social media, with many speculating whether the 78-year-old required an IV drip or a blood test.

Despite these speculations, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt clarified that the marks were merely a consequence of the president’s active schedule and his frequent, firm handshakes.
Nevertheless, by Monday, March 3, two new darker marks were reportedly noted on the palm of his right hand. These were spotted as President Trump addressed a major $100 billion U.S. investment by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., while gesturing and revealing one mark near the heart line and another under the head line. The faint yellow bruise from the previous week was still apparent on the back of his hand.
Karoline Leavitt reiterated in a statement regarding these marks: “President Trump is extremely dedicated to connecting with the American people, and he engages in more handshake interactions than any president ever has before. His dedication is clear through his actions every day.”

Some individuals remain skeptical of this explanation, while others believe that the bruise is not necessarily a cause for public concern, especially considering Trump’s age.
According to reports from Metro, this isn’t the first time marks have been observed on Trump’s hands. A similar explanation was provided following the appearance of bruises on his outer right hand in December. Moreover, noticeable marks were recorded in August and November of the previous year.
Responses to these statements have varied. One Twitter user commented: “Why deny it? It’s most likely from an IV or blood test. Everyone knows Trump is elderly and regularly sees doctors.” Many others agreed, noting the resemblance to IV bruises, which are a common experience for many after blood work.
“Trump is in his 70s,” another user added. “Older individuals bruise more easily. It’s certainly not a grand conspiracy.”
“Such bruising is common among elders. If he’s using blood thinners, his risk of bruising increases. It can result from blood draws, IVs, or even accidental bumps,” explained another observer.
However, it was also noted that President Trump has a notably vigorous handshake style. As reported by the Washington Post in 2017, Peter W. Stevenson documented Trump’s intense handshakes with various world leaders and U.S. officials. Stevenson wrote: “Whether by habit or to assert his dominance, Trump is known for pulling forcefully during handshakes.”
