People Concerned After Trump Hints at 2028 Run with Photo

Many are buzzing over Donald Trump’s recent actions in the White House, hinting he might be thinking about running for office again.

Even though it would go against the law, Trump, now 79, has often talked about considering a third run for the presidency.

His victories in 2016 and 2024 clearly mean he has broken the 22nd Amendment, which stops anyone from serving more than two presidential terms.

Back in August, he gave some updates suggesting he might eye the presidency again.

Just recently, Trump posted a photo on Truth Social that might indicate his plans to campaign again.

At a meeting with Democratic leaders on Monday (September 29) about preventing a government shutdown, he was spotted in the Oval Office with hats that read ‘Trump 2028’.

This post came out shortly after it was revealed that the government might close, something that hasn’t happened since 2018-2019.

Hakeem Jeffries, the minority leader of the US House of Representatives, reacted to Trump’s antics after seeing the photo and an AI video mocking him.

When he spoke to CNN, he remarked: “He is an unserious individual, and the Republicans are unserious right now.

“They have no interest in having a genuine discussion, and all the erratic, unhinged behavior we’ve witnessed makes it clear who is pushing the government toward a shutdown.”

Social media exploded with criticism towards Trump regarding his actions and the hint at another presidential run.

One Twitter user expressed: “Trump spent yesterday’s meeting with Democratic leadership taunting them with ‘Trump 2028’ hats. He’s not genuinely interested in keeping the government open, and he’s mocking America’s Constitution.”

Another chimed in: “The hat serves as a warning for what might come. Some people are still ignoring that warning.”

Additionally, someone else voiced their frustration with Democrats attending the meeting despite the hats being prominently displayed.

They commented: “Walking into a meeting with Trump meant to be a bipartisan negotiation on a funding resolution, and seeing ‘Trump 2028’ merch all over the table, the right thing to do is to just get up and leave. It’s a blatant mockery.”
