During his headline-making Netflix series, Prince Harry revealed that Princess Lilibet certainly takes after the Spencer side of their family – but she also has the sweetest similarity to her elder brother.
The one-year-old’s vibrant flame-hued tresses are just like the 3-year-old Prince’s whose red locks were captured in a beautiful photo you may have missed back in 2021 placed on the Duchess of Sussex’s desk.
The unseen snap was caught on camera during a clip on the couple’s Archewell website, which was shared to mark the Duchess’s 40th birthday. Archie’s red hair couldn’t go unnoticed in the heartwarming photo which saw him playing in the sand and looking just like Lilibet.
The little Princess’ vibrant locks have been a major talking point for Prince Harry, who couldn’t be happier to pass on the family gene. In episode six of Harry and Meghan, he explained: “[Lilibet has] Sort of like golden reddish hair,” whilst home footage showed Lilibet wearing a floral romper and crawling across the Sussexes’ garden in Montecito. So sweet!
Royal fans have also seen Lilbet’s beautiful locks on full display when Harry and Meghan shared a stunning portrait to mark her first birthday.
In the photo, taken by Misan Harriman, Lilibet is beaming from ear to ear whilst sitting on the vast green grass at Frogmore cottage, where her parents used to reside. The little one wore a beautiful blue dress for the occasion, as well as a pretty white bow in her hair.
The one-year-old enjoyed a fun day to celebrate her milestone which included a picnic and face-painting session attended by a small number of close family and friends.
Lilibet also received an impressive pink-tiered cake which was almost exactly the same as her parent’s wedding cake.
Violet Cakes By Claire Ptak, the creator of the lavish masterpiece, revealed that the inside of the two-tier cake was Amalfi lemon and elderflower, which was the same as the cake created for the Duke and Duchess’s wedding in 2018.
The main difference was that the youngster’s masterpiece was covered in strawberry buttercream, Claire explained. The cake was also adorned with white and pink peonies, and topped with fresh strawberries.
