Priscilla Presley speaks for the first time about the tragic passing of her daughter Lisa Marie.

A family spokeswoman confirmed that Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s only child, passed away on Thursday. She had been born in 1954.

In a statement received by the AP, Priscilla Presley stated, “It is with a sad heart that I must deliver the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.” She was the most fervent, powerful, and loving woman I’ve ever met.

The Presley family is “shocked and grieved by the untimely passing of their beloved Lisa Marie,” according to a statement provided to ABC News by Priscilla Presley’s spokesperson Sam Mast.

They sincerely appreciate everyone’s support, love, and prayers and ask for privacy during this extremely trying time, Mast said.

Priscilla Presley said earlier on Thursday that her daughter had been taken to the hospital via social media.

Before her daughter’s passing was made public, Priscilla Presley revealed, “My dear daughter Lisa Marie was transported to the hospital.” “She’s now getting the best treatment. Please remember to pray for her and our family. We appeal for discretion at this time as we are aware of the prayers coming from all over the world.”

Lisa Marie Presley praised Austin Butler’s achievement as the best actor in a drama film for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the Baz Luhrmann-directed biopic “Elvis” at the 80th Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday in Beverly Hills, California. She and her mother went to the event.

The singer-songwriter is the only child of entrepreneur and actress Priscilla Presley and singer-actor Elvis Presley. When she turned 25 in 1993, she received her father’s estate.

Lisa Marie Presley has been married four times, notably to actor Nicolas Cage from 2002 to 2004 and the late music sensation Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996.

She wed the musician Danny Keough in 1988; they had a daughter named Riley and a boy named Benjamin who passed away. In July 2020, Benjamin committed suicide at the age of 27.

In the midst of the excitement surrounding Baz Luhrmann’s movie last year, Lisa Marie Presley provided an update on her post-death son’s survival.

She wrote, “I am and will always be mourning the loss of my kid. “Navigating through this awful anguish has eaten me whole, completely ruined, and broken my heart and soul into nearly nothing.”

Riley Keough is a well-known actress who starred in the upcoming movie “Zola.” With the 2022 movie “War Pony,” which took home the Caméra d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, she made her directorial debut.

Lisa Marie Presley wed Michael Lockwood in 2006. Theirs was her longest marriage, and it terminated in divorce in July 2021. Twin daughters Harper and Finley are one of the two children the former couple has together.

She continued to follow in her father’s footsteps over time, releasing the album “To Whom It May Concern” in 2003, which included the song “Savior,” which she co-wrote with Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins. She also put out two more albums, “What Now” in 2005 and “Storm & Grace” in 2012.
