Rapper P Diddy arrested and charged 6 months after homes raided by Homeland Security

UPDATE, 9/17/2024: Sean “P Diddy” Combs has been arrested and charged six months after his home was raided by homeland security.

After being arrested on Sept. 16 in New York City, Combs was charged with “sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution by federal authorities.”

In a statement issued by his attorney Marc Agnifilo, the rapper plans to fight the charges against and him and plans to plead not guilty, calling the charges “unjust prosecution.”

“He’s going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might and the full confidence of his lawyers, and I expect a long battle with a good result for Mr. Combs,” Agnifilo said.

“Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community,” Agnifilo continued. “He is an imperfect person but he is not a criminal.”

“To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

Sean “P Diddy” Combs has issued a statement to Fox News. Read below:

“Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences,” his attorney, Aaron Dyer, said to Fox News Digital.

“There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated. Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities.”

“Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way. This unprecedented ambush — paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence — leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.”

He added, “There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.”

Sources with direct knowledge have told TMZ that P Diddy was reportedly “surprised” by the raids that occurred in his homes yesterday.

At the time the raids took place, Diddy was reportedly on his way to spend spring break with some of his children. It’s reported that two of his sons were in one of his homes during the raid.
