Sad Goonie’s Star News

When a couple gets married, they make vows. Sometimes they choose to write their own vows, but the traditional vows basically include promises like loving each other no matter what even “for better or worse” and “in sickness and health.”

Actor Cory Feldman, who is known for ’80s hits like “Goonies,” married Courtney Anne Mitchell back in 2016. They dated for 4 years prior to their marriage, but they tied the knot just one week after Feldman popped the question. Now, after 7 years of marriage, the couple has announced that Mitchell will not be touring with Feldman’s band, and the couple is also choosing to break up, at least temporarily. One reason is due to Mitchell’s health issues.

In a statement, Mitchell explained, “I’ve struggled for two years with health issues old and new, and this has taken a massive toll on me and my family.”

Mitchell was touring with Feldman and his band as both a singer and a DJ, but due to her health, she shared that she is no longer physically able to keep touring. She explained, “It’s been a long journey of dealing with my own chronic fatigue syndrome which makes it difficult to keep up with the high energy of touring and traveling from place to place.” In her statement, she thanked Feldman for being “so supportive of my healing process. I couldn’t have done so without his love and support.” Besides chronic fatigue, Mitchell has also struggled with hives and COVID-19.

In a statement released by Feldman, he explains, “We have been through so much together and still have much love and respect for each other.” He continued, “There is no one to blame. This is a case of life becoming really hard, Courtney dealing with health issues, and two people who have grown apart and now find themselves at a crossroads.”

In Feldman’s statement, he wished Mitchell “a speedy recovery.” As far as their relationship, he shared, “We don’t know what the future will hold, but we know that the love we have for each other is not going anywhere.”

Do you think Feldman and Mitchell’s relationship will end in divorce, or do you think they’ll work things out?
