Cory Feldman and Courtney Anne Mitchell Arrange Temporary Breakup
Love and marriage are often filled with promises of unwavering support, even in the face of challenges. Actor Cory Feldman, known for his role in ’80s hits like “Goonies,” married Courtney Anne Mitchell in 2016. After four years of dating, they swiftly tied the knot one week after Feldman’s romantic proposal.
However, after seven years of marriage, the couple recently made a difficult announcement: Mitchell will no longer be touring with Feldman’s band, and they have decided to take a break from their relationship, at least for now. Among the reasons cited is Mitchell’s health concerns.
In a heartfelt statement, Mitchell shared, “Over the past two years, I have faced both existing and new health issues, and these have had a significant impact on me and my family.”
Mitchell, who previously accompanied Feldman and his band as a singer and DJ, revealed that her deteriorating health no longer allows her to keep up with the demanding schedule of touring and traveling.
She disclosed, “My ongoing battle with chronic fatigue syndrome has made it increasingly challenging to maintain the high energy required for performances and constant travel.” Grateful for Feldman’s unwavering support, she expressed, “His love and encouragement have been instrumental in my journey towards healing.”
Apart from chronic fatigue syndrome, Mitchell has also dealt with hives and recently recovered from COVID-19. In a statement released by Feldman, he expressed their shared experiences, saying, “We have been through so much together and still hold deep love and respect for one another.” He continued, “There is no one to blame. Our current situation is a result of life’s difficulties, Courtney’s health struggles, and two individuals who have grown apart and now find themselves at a crossroads.”
Feldman conveyed his well wishes for Mitchell’s speedy recovery, and regarding their relationship, he affirmed, “While we cannot predict the future, our love for each other remains unwavering.” The couple is faced with uncertainties, leaving one to question whether their path will lead to divorce or if they can find a way to reconcile and mend their bond.
