Sad Tori Kelly News

Country and Gospel singer Tori Kelly, age 30, is in the hospital. According to TMZ, she was having dinner with friends in Los Angeles on Sunday night, July 23, 2023, when she noticed that her heart was beating very rapidly.

Kelly and her friends knew something was wrong and that she needed to go to the hospital, but they chose not to call an ambulance. They were at a restaurant in downtown L.A. when Kelly collapsed, but she made it clear that she wanted to make sure she was taken to the hospital Cedars-Sinai instead of whatever nearby hospital an ambulance would take her to.

Kelly’s friends helped her into a vehicle, and they drove her to Cedars-Sinai as fast as possible. According to TMZ’s sources, Kelly was “out for awhile,” but she is now in the ICU at Cedars-Sinai.

Why was Kelly’s heart beating so quickly? Why did she collapse? Doctors found blood clots around Kelly’s vital organs, and she is currently receiving treatment for blood clots. During her hospital stay, she has been in and out of consciousness. Reportedly, she is still in serious condition.

Kelly has been in the music industry for many years now. In 2015, she won the Billboard Women in Music Breakthrough Artist Award. In 2019, she won two Grammy awards, one for Best Gospel Album for her song “Hiding Place,” and another for Best Gospel Performance/Song for her song “Never Alone.”

While there has not been an update about Kelly’s condition, her husband, André Murillo, seems to be turning to her lyrics for comfort. In his Instagram Stories, he recently posted lyrics from her duet with Justin Bieber, “Where Do I Fit In.” Some of the lyrics read, “While you sleep, I watch over you, it’ll be alright.” Kelly and Murillo have been married since 2018.

Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery.
