Santana Injured & Postpones Las Vegas Residency

Carlos Santana was supposed to start a new Las Vegas residency House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on January 22, 2025. He had shows scheduled on the 22, 23, 25, 26, 29 and 30 as well as date in February and May. The residency is titled โ€œAn Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live.โ€

Unfortunately, those shows will not happen as originally planned. While they are not being canceled, they are being postponed.

PEOPLE reports that while he was at his vacation home in Hawaii, he accidentally fell and broke one of his fingers.

In a statement posted on Instagram, Michael Vrionis, President of Universal Tone Management explained, โ€œI am sorry to say that Carlos was out taking a walk at his vacation home in Kauai. He took a hard fall, and he broke his little finger on his left hand.โ€

While itโ€™s unclear if the May residency dates will need to be rescheduled, it seems that the January and February dates will need to be rescheduled since it will take six weeks for his finger to heal. Vrionis said, โ€œHe had to have pins inserted in the finger. Unfortunately, he wonโ€™t be able to play guitar for approximately six weeks.โ€

Vrionis also made it clear that Santana is looking forward to being back on stage. He shared that Santana is โ€œdoing well and is anxious to be back on stage soon.โ€ He added that the rocker is obeying doctorsโ€™ orders so that heโ€™ll โ€œrecuperate fully.โ€

The statement continued, โ€œSantana profoundly regrets these postponements of his upcoming performances, but accidents happen, and his health is our number one concern.โ€ Santana โ€œis looking forward to seeing all of his fans very soon.โ€

Santana fans used the comments section to wish the rocker well and to express their understanding for the postponements. One comment reads, โ€œGet well Carlos, See you in june in BerlinWe are so happy to see you here !!Good luck for your finger.โ€

Another person commented, โ€œHis Health should Always come first!!May he have a great recovery and be back playing his tunes!!โ€
