Sharon Osbourne Reveals Suicide Attempt

Sharon Osbourne recently revealed that she once attempted to take her own life. According to The Mirror, she revealed this information during a stage show called Cut the Crap that happened in London on Sunday January 21, 2024.

During the show, Sharon was on stage talking with her friend Jane Moore. During their conversation, Sharon talked about her reaction when she found out that her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, had had a four-year affair with hairdresser Michelle Pugh. She shared, “He always, always had groupies and I was so used to that. But when he knows the name of the person, where they live and where they work… it is a whole different thing as you are emotionally invested.”

After learning about the affair, Sharon attempted suicide. She said, “I took, I don’t know how many pills.” She added, “I just thought ‘My kids are older, they are fine and can take care of themselves’. So I took an overdose and locked myself in the bedroom.”

It’s possible that the maid saved Sharon’s life. She explained, “The maid tried to come in to clean room and saw me.”

While Sharon didn’t end up killing herself, she and Ozzy did split up in 2016; however, they never went through with getting a divorce. According to Aol, months after the split, she publicly revealed that she forgave him on the show “The Talk.” While she admitted that she didn’t “trust” him, she also shared, “I just can’t think of my life without him.”

Years later, Sharon speaks highly of her husband, who is battling Parkinsons disease. She explained, “He won’t tour again but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye.’”

She added, “His voice is still absolutely perfect. And all the time he has been off he still does his singing lessons. Even if you don’t like his music, you can’t not like Ozzy.”
