Sharon Stone Announces the Death of Her Brother, Patrick Stone, Who Lost His 11-Month-Old Son in 2021

Sharon Stone is having a hard time coping with all the deaths her family has experienced over the past three years. It started with her grandmother and godmother in 2020, both of whom died as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The following year, she lost her 11-month-old nephew, River Stone, to organ failure.

This past weekend, the mourning continued with the death of Sharon’s brother, Patrick Stone – the father of River. She confirmed the death in a short video posted to Instagram on Monday, revealing he suffered a fatal heart attack at just 57 years old. It’s a tragic loss to a family that has already lost so much.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Tasha, and two living children – son Hunter and daughter Kaylee. “Like any family, we thank you for your love and support in this time of immeasurable grief, and we appreciate all of your condolences,” she said as tears ran down her face. She also shared a vintage photo of her brother.

“Yes, we’ve had a tremendous amount of loss in these last couple of years – as so many of you also have. And we do greatly understand that the loss is here on Earth. I thank you very much for the love and support that you’re showing us. We just ask you to continue to be kind. Thank you,” she concluded.

Celebrity friends took to the comments section to express their condolences for her tremendous loss – including John Travolta, Jeremy Renner, Hilary Swank, Octavia Spencer, Sharon Osbourne, Kate Beckinsale, Orlando Bloom, and Christie Brinkley. The post has received more than 130,000 likes. As People reported, his wife, Tasha also issued a statement.

“My heart feels like it’s been ripped out of my chest. Patrick went to be with our sweet River around 3:30 this morning. I don’t know what else to say, he was my world. […] I knew the very first day that I saw him that I was going to marry him. I felt an immediate connection to him and for 20 years we drove each other absolutely crazy but we also loved each other so deeply. I feel lost without my best friend. I take some comfort in knowing that we had one of the best days full of love and the moments we shared throughout the day I know that he did not doubt the depth of my love for him. My sweet, loving and often times obnoxious husband I would not have changed a minute of the last 20 years (except for our baby going to Heaven) other than showing you more love… My wish through all of this is that now at least River has his daddy with him and I hope the two of you are having the best time. Please give him the biggest hug and kiss from all of us and keep him out of mischief.”

Sharon wasn’t the only family member who took to social media to pay tribute. Her sister, Kelly Stone, shared a few photos of their brother and added a touching caption – similar to Sharon’s. She wasn’t ready to talk about the death, she thanked everyone for their calls and texts, and said she’s feeling the love.

Patrick’s wife, Tasha, took to Facebook to share her grief over the loss. She thanked him for making her a mother and praised him for always making her feel loved. “I’m not sure what life is supposed to look like without my husband by my side and quite honestly I don’t want to, but I will of coarse [sic],” Tasha wrote.

Sharon Stone is heartbroken over her family’s recent tragedies over the past few years, but that hasn’t stopped her from doing what she does best – entertaining people. Last month, she made a surprise appearance on the set of Saturday Night Live!, joining Sam Smith on stage while he performed ‘Gloria.’

Not only that, but Stone made a cameo appearance in the music video for ‘You Only Love Me’ by Rita Ora. The hitmaker shared a photo of the two on set – Rita wearing white lingerie and Sharon wearing pink pajamas. In the caption, Rita called Sharon a ‘true icon’ and thanked her for being a part of the video.

To top it all off, Stone is starring as Linda Tarlton in a new film called What About Love – which ironically is being released on February 14th. It’s sad that she has to celebrate the release with everything going on in her personal life, but it’s good she has something to help take her mind off the tragedy she’s experiencing.

Stone was most recently seen enjoying dinner with a few friends over the weekend, just one day before learning of her brother’s passing. Sources said she was ‘in good spirits’ at the time, but that quickly changed on Sunday. We wish her family all the best moving forward and are sending our love and support.
