Super Bowl champion and NFL player Ronnie Hillman passes away at age 31

Ronnie Hillman, a former running back for the Denver Broncos who won a Super Bowl with the team, killed away unexpectedly at the age of 31.

The NFL player’s family issued a statement that was posted on social media, which read as follows: “It is with great sadness that we must inform you of the demise of Ronnie K. Hillman Jr., who his family cherished as a son, brother, and father.

“Ronnie passed away tonight in the company of his family and close friends,” the message read. “He did so in a calm and peaceful way.”

“The family wishes to express their gratitude for all of the prayers and nice comments that have already been shared. We would be grateful if you could give us some space and time to work through our emotions while we make preparations to bury our beloved RJ.”

In conclusion, they continued by saying: “There will be further information made available shortly. With warm regards, The Family”

The announcement of Ronnie’s passing was made public by his family in a statement.

Just the day before, his family broke the news to him about his diagnosis by writing: “Despite the fact that communicating this information is challenging, we believe doing so is essential.

Ronnie was given a diagnosis of renal medullary carcinoma in the month of August of this year. Cancer of the renal medullary tissue, also known as renal medullary carcinoma (RMC), is an extremely rare but highly aggressive kind of neoplasm that usually strikes young African Americans who have sickle cell trait.

“Unfortunately, the treatment did not work, and now our dearly loved RJ is receiving Hospice Care, where he is being kept comfortable and is no longer in pain.

“We have the kind of faith that can move mountains, and as a family, we have hope that beyond hope. In addition, we are aware that the will of God does not necessarily align with our own; so, as a family, we submit ourselves to the omnipotent God’s will.

“At this time, we could use your prayers, but we would also be grateful for your understanding and respect for Ronnie and our family’s desire for privacy.”
