The “Real Housewives” star announced her crushing diagnosis

After disclosing that she had cancer, Mia Thornton is taking things one day at a time and trying to remain positive.

The 37-year-old star of Real Housewives of Potomac shared in an emotional post that she had written on Instagram on Friday that she had received a call from her physician the previous week regarding some test results.

“A week ago at this time, Doc called at 7:31 in the morning and it was Mia. I want to express my deepest condolences, but I just got the results of your tests, and I want you to report to the Johns Hopkins Cancer Center today “She went ahead and started the caption.

“You can only imagine the avalanche of feelings that my husband, Gordon Thornton, and I went through as we tried to understand why something like this happened.

Despite the fact that I had received such disheartening information, I experienced an overwhelming sense of calm and vitality that enabled me to keep my composure and carry on “the Bravo star went on to say more.

Thornton explained, “I’ve been in and out of visits to specialists every day, and the storm is not done, but this experience is transforming me.”

“I believe that God has a plan, and I know that we are often pushed to remain humble by the fact that tomorrow is not promised and that our days here on earth are numbered,” she said. “I know that God has a purpose.”

“A communication straight from my soul. A friendly nudge in the right direction to remind you to Live, Love, and Forgive as if today were your last. Be magnificent Kings & Queens, “In the end, she decided.

After Thornton shared the news with her fans, a number of previous and current Housewives conveyed to her that they were keeping her in their thoughts during this difficult time. Cynthia Bailey said, “You are constantly on my mind and I will pray for you. I am sending you a lot of love and healing energy, gorgeous,” and Tamra Judge added, “Prayers for you, beautiful.””

Thornton is not the first Housewife from Potomac to disclose that they have been diagnosed with cancer. She joined the cast of the show during its most current sixth season.
