‘The View’: Does Whoopi Goldberg Want To Lose Her Job?

Whoopi Goldberg could lose her position on The View. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, the moderator is under fire yet again for the fresh comments she made about the Holocaust and the Jewish community. She doubled down on the insensitive remarks she made earlier this year. Whoopi doesn’t feel any remorse over the pain she’s caused.

Instead, she still claims the Holocaust is “not about race.” These are the same comments she made on the talk show back in February. At the time, The View put her on a two-week suspension. With this latest controversy, Whoopi may not return to the show when it comes back in the New Year.

However, some have to wonder if this is her way of leaving the talk show.

Whoopi Goldberg under fire for latest comments

In a new interview with The Times, Whoopi Goldberg defended her claims that the Holocaust was “not about race.” She supports what she said on The View earlier this year. Whoopi argued that it was hard for Nazis to recognize a Jewish person. Yet, she feels that a member of the Klu Klux Klan could easily chase down a Black person down the street.

She doesn’t understand why her comments caused so much controversy. Whoopi likened it to taking a “stinky dump” on the round table. Even her co-hosts argued with her when she made the comments. This sent alert bells to the show’s producers, who suspended her for two weeks.

During that time, Whoopi Goldberg issued an apology on Twitter. That didn’t stop her from making the same remarks on other talk shows, including Late Night with Stephen Colbert. She brought up the incident again with The Times in which she claimed that some of her Jewish friends don’t know if they’re a race or a religion. Once again, she brought up that the Holocaust wasn’t about hurting an entire “race” of people.

This latest controversy has some wondering if Whoopi Goldberg wants to get fired from The View. She dropped hints that she doesn’t like her job as moderator. Earlier this month, Whoopi told Rob Lowe on his podcast that she has the “worst seat” on the show. The comment she made had more to do with her body image issues and how she appears on camera.

The View Instagram page shared the panel’s holiday traditions. Whoopi Goldberg wasn’t in a festive mood. She kept griping about work. The comedian shared that her favorite thing about the holidays is getting time off from the show, while her least-favorite thing is spending more time on set. Fans had a feeling that Whoopi hinted that she doesn’t like her job.

She could’ve made those comments to make a quick exit plan. Fams also accused Whoopi of looking bored, mentally checking out, and closing the show early. What are your thoughts? Do you think Whoopi Goldberg is looking to get canned? Sound off below in the comment section.
