Tina Turner is in mourning over the untimely passing of her “loving” son Ronnie, who was 62 years old.
“Ronnie, you passed away much too soon in this life. On Friday, the singer shared a photograph of herself on Instagram with her eyes closed and the message read, “In grief I close my eyes and think about you, my beautiful baby.” The photo was in black and white.
Ronnie passed away on Thursday, December 8th. It is not known what caused his death at this time; nevertheless, in recent years he had been afflicted with a variety of health problems, including cancer.
After Ronnie’s passing, his widow, Afida, took to Instagram to pay an emotional homage to her late husband, the actor.
Afida Turner captioned a carousel of photos of her late husband with the following: “My god Ronnie turner a true angel huge soul highly spiritual my husband my best friend my baby your [sic] mummy your nurse I did the best to the end this time I was not able to save you love u for this 17 years this is very very very bad I am very mad.”
This is a terrible accident; may you, your brother Craig, your father, Ike Turner, and your mother Aline rest in peace. really unfair.”
They did not have any children together.
Ronnie passed away shortly after his older brother, Craig, had committed himself by shooting himself in the head in 2018 at the age of 59.
In an interview three months later with the BBC, Tina said, “I still don’t know what took him to the edge because at that stage he had said to me that he had never met a woman that he felt that way about.” This was something that he had told her at the time. “I have never met a woman that I felt that way about,”
“For his birthday in August, he was going to introduce her to me and we were going to spend time together. He had already furnished and decorated the apartment that I had purchased for him many years ago. He was extremely content with his new position at a well-known real estate company in the state of California, which he had recently obtained.
The singer best known for her hit “What’s Love Got to Do With It” also suffered the loss of her son Craig.
Tina, who was 83 at the time, expressed her belief a year later that the suicidal act of her husband was caused by loneliness.
“I think Craig was lonely, that’s what I think really got him more than anything else,” she added. “I think that’s what really got him more than anything else.” “I have images of him smiling everywhere around me, and I guess I’m getting the impression that he’s in a happy place,” she said. I mean, I really do.
