Tina Turner’s son Ronnie’s cause of death revealed

On Friday, the world was rocked by the news that Tina Turner’s beloved son Ronnie had passed away far too soon at 62. Through her grief and sorrow, she offered a touching tribute to him on Instagram: “My eyes may be closed in sadness but my heart will always remember you.” The memory of Ronnie lives on through his family and fans alike.

On Friday, Afida Turner paid an emotional tribute to her beloved husband Ronnie. Through tear-filled words, she expressed that no matter how hard she tried, this time life wasn’t on their side and the love of her life had been taken away from her too soon; reuniting with his brother Craig and father Ike in paradise. She referred to him as a true angel, who was more than just a companion – he was also her greatest best friend.

Ronnie Turner sadly passed away this Thursday from colon cancer, a diagnosis confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Coroner’s office. His death was due to complications associated with metastatic disease that had spread throughout his body.

Metastatic cancer, or stage 4 cancer, is a scary prospect for many it’s when dreaded cells spread to parts of the body beyond their initial location. Equally worrisome is an atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease: an ailment that hardens arteries and potentially restricts blood flow or creates dangerous clots in ways too familiar from our nightmares.

Ronnie Turner was the baby of Tina Turner’s brood, and at just a young age he made an unforgettable cameo in his mother’s 1993 biopic “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” featuring iconic powerhouse performances by Angela Bassett as Tina and Laurence Fishburne as Ike.

Craig Turner, the firstborn son of 18-year-old Tina Turner and saxophonist Raymond Hill, was tragically found to have taken his own life at age 59 in 2018. His mother married Ike Turner shortly after Craig’s birth and he became a part of the family; however, tragedy struck with another loss for the Turners when Craig suddenly departed this world too soon.

Tina shared a heartbreaking tribute on social media about saying goodbye to her beloved son Craig, who tragically passed away at the age of fifty-nine. In an emotional farewell, she gathered with family and friends to scatter his ashes off the California coast – a moment that will remain forever etched in Tina’s heart as an everlasting reminder of her “baby”.

Tina Turner’s tumultuous relationship with Ike Turner ended in 1978 after 16 long years of marriage. After his drug-related death nine years later, she went on to marry German music producer Erwin Bach the two celebrated 30 blissful years together before tying the knot in 2013. Tina also adopted both of her late husband’s sons and has stayed close to them throughout all these decades; today they’re 64 and 63 respectively.
