Tragic Loss: Remembering a Beloved TV Host

In May 2022, the world mourned the unexpected loss of Erin Jayne Plummer, a cherished Australian TV host. At just 42 years old, she left behind her loving husband and three beloved daughters.

Friends and colleagues describe Erin as having a truly beautiful soul, filled with love and warmth. Her friends shared memories of her deep affection for her girls, emphasizing how she adored them with all her heart.

However, it was shocking to learn that Erin’s cause of death was suicide. Although she had struggled with her mental health, no one suspected that she was in such a dark place. Just before her passing, her Instagram post revealed her excitement about returning to work, making her loved ones believe she was happy and well.

According to friends, the toll of the Covid-19 pandemic wore heavily on Erin’s mental health. In the weeks leading up to her death, she seemed to have lost her usual bouncy and energetic nature.

Even though Erin’s death was ruled a suicide, her friends are requesting a thorough investigation. They firmly believe that she would never have chosen to leave her beautiful girls in such a way.

Erin first captured the spotlight as a young girl, starring in a tourism campaign televised on NBC. Since then, she became a familiar face and beloved host on various Australian TV shows, including Studio 10, TVSN, and Mornings with Kerri-Anne.

Erin’s father, Peter Gard, paid a heartfelt tribute to his daughter, describing her three daughters as little mini versions of Erin herself. Her legacy lives on as one of her daughters follows in her footsteps.
