Trump Finally Responds to Mamdani’s Election-Night Remarks

President Donald Trump wasn’t too pleased with the comments made by the newly elected New York City Mayor, Zohran Mamdani, during his victory speech. Now, Trump is issuing a stern warning to his new political adversary.

Celebrations in Brooklyn

The political scene in the United States this week has been abuzz with the historic win of Zohran Mamdani in the New York City mayoral race. In an atmosphere of pure excitement that swept through Brooklyn on election night, the 34-year-old Mamdani took to the stage. During his victory speech, he directed strong words towards Donald Trump.

“New York will remain a city of immigrants, a city built by immigrants, powered by immigrants and, as of tonight, led by an immigrant,” he declared, adding: “If anyone can demonstrate to a nation misled by Donald Trump how to overcome him, it is the city that gave birth to him.”

But Mamdani wasn’t finished yet.

Without hesitation, he took a direct shot at Trump, alluding to the intense political struggles that are likely on the horizon. In front of an enthusiastic crowd, he uttered four particular words directed at the president: “Donald Trump, since I know you’re watching, I have four words for you: turn the volume up!”

Trump’s Response

It’s common knowledge that Donald Trump isn’t exactly fond of Zohran Mamdani — having labeled him a communist on numerous occasions, despite Mamdani identifying as a democratic socialist.

Many were eagerly anticipating Trump’s reaction to Mamdani’s speech, and he has finally broken his silence.

In a conversation with Fox News’ Bret Baier, Trump responded on Wednesday, asserting that the newly sworn-in New York City Mayor crossed a line. He criticized Mamdani’s spirited speech, describing the statements as “angry toward me” and potentially “very dangerous.”

“It’s a very dangerous thing for him to say,” Trump remarked.

“He needs to show some respect to Washington, otherwise he stands no chance of succeeding.”

“Introducing Slimy Newscum”

In a previous declaration, Trump had warned that New York City would receive only the “bare minimum” in federal funding if Mamdani assumed office.

During an event at the America Business Forum in Miami on Wednesday, Trump shifted his focus to California Governor Gavin Newsom, offering him a fresh nickname.

“Perhaps that should be his nickname — Slimy. Slimy Newscum, right?” Trump joked, drawing laughter from the crowd.

Unfazed, Newsom responded on X with a succinct comment:

“You lost.”

Meanwhile, in California, Governor Newsom and Secretary of State Shirley Weber are embroiled in a legal dispute initiated by state Republicans. This follows the public’s approval of Proposition 50, a measure enabling the state to redraw the boundaries of congressional districts.
