Trump Suggests ‘Deranged’ Special Counsel Jack Smith May Indict Him Again

Former President Donald Trump is suggesting he could be indicted a third time.

In a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, Trump wrote, “WOW! On Sunday night, while I was with my family, having just arrived from the Turning Point event in Florida, where I won the Straw Poll against all other Republican candidates with 85.7%… HORRIFYING NEWS for our Country was given to me by my attorneys.”

“Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand jury, which almost always means an Arrest and Indictment,” he continued.

Check out the post below:

Special Counsel Jack Smith previously indicted Trump for his alleged mishandling of classified documents.

Trump is facing 37 charges in that case, including 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information, one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice, one count of corruptly concealing a document or record, one count of concealing a document in a federal investigation, and one count related to making false statements.

The indictment states, “The classified documents Trump stored in his boxes included information regarding defense and weapons capabilities of both the United States and foreign countries; United States nuclear programs; potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack; and plans for possible retaliation in response to a foreign attack.”

“The unauthorized disclosure of these classified documents could put at risk the national security of the United States, foreign relations, the safety of the United States military, and human sources and the continued viability of sensitive intelligence collection methods,” it added.

Trump has insisted he is an “innocent man.”

He also blamed “mutants” for the indictment — though it was unclear what he meant.

Smith was tapped to investigate Trump’s handling of classified documents and his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
