When a journalist lightly asked Donald Trump about his Valentineโs Day plans with his wife Melania Trump, his response took an unexpected turn.
The romance between Trump and Melania began at a party in 1998. They started dating shortly thereafter, got married in 2005, and welcomed their son Barron into the world the following year. Many might assume that such a history is filled with shared Valentine’s Days full of cherished moments.

Typically, aboard Air Force One, Trump fields questions on serious matters like global tensions, but this time a journalist peppered in a light-hearted query: “Did you have any Valentineโs Day plans with Melania?”
Initially, Trump seemed mystified by the question, diverting to mention the First Lady’s movie. However, when the reporter reiterated the Valentine’s Day inquiry, Trump appeared perplexed.
“Did I what?” he said, needing the question rephrased to, “Did you do anything for Valentineโs with her? Did you give her flowers?” This left Trump flustered, and he awkwardly dodged answering, quipping, “Better not tell you that. Goodbye, everybody,” while laughingly calling it his “toughest question.”
Trumpโs response left Melania’s Valentineโs Day details and any potential gifts shrouded in mystery.

Yet, Trump took the opportunity to praise Melaniaโs efforts on her film and her commitment to aiding children impacted by the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He noted her dedication, suggesting she might be remembered as an outstanding first lady.
However, Melaniaโs cinematic debut hasnโt fared well with critics, receiving less-than-stellar reviews. Despite this, at its premiere, she expressed pride in the project regardless of its reception.
On Valentineโs Day itself, the couple attended a dinner at their Mar-a-Lago estate, where Trump was spotted dancing solo to a live band, really embracing the music.
