Uma Thurman in tears after the accident that could have ended her life

One of Hollywood’s most recognizable stars is Uma. With her part in the Kill Bill movie series, the actress achieved global stardom, but at a price.

The actress uploaded a video from the movie’s production that showed a terrifying vehicle accident she had been in.

Just days after her explosive New York Times interview, Uma posted a film of her accident from the Kill Bill set on her Instagram.

The actress attributed the mishap to the managers and producers of the movie. The circumstances surrounding this incident were so careless as to be illegal, she said.

She disclosed that she had received the tape from director Quentin Tarantino years later in order to expose it.

The actress said of the filmmaker in a statement: “I am proud of him for doing the right thing and for his courage. He also did so with full knowing it could bring him personal harm.”

The actress said, “THE COVER UP AFTER THE FACT IS UNFORGIVABLE.”

Uma reported that despite her concerns about the condition of the car, Quentin urged her to proceed in her New York Times interview.

Regarding the video itself, it shows Uma operating a quick vehicle on an off-road track until an unexpected sharp bend and perilous bumps cause her to sustain injuries as the vehicle abruptly comes to a stop.

It was later discovered that Uma’s accident-related injuries included knee and neck pain.

WHAT DID PRODUCERS AND QUENTIN TARANTINO SAY ABOUT THE ACCIDENT?

Quentin told Deadline that the actress’ accident was “one of the worst regrets of my life” shortly after Uma’s interview and the public release of the tape.

The director insisted that he only tested the car in one direction before asking Uma to drive it in the opposite direction, which had not been tried.

He also said that he made “one of my most horrible mistakes” by failing to notice the road’s turn.

The director, however, denied Uma’s assertions that he convinced her to board the vehicle. She wasn’t pushed into the car by me. She trusted me enough to get in the car. She agreed with me, he said.

Producer of Kill Bill Lawrence Bender responded to Uma’s claims after the web video of the incident surfaced.

“I profoundly regret that Uma suffered the anguish she has, both physically and emotionally, for all of these years from the accident that occurred on the Kill Bill set,” he said in a statement to the Hollywood Reporter.

“I never want to let anyone down. The safety of the professionals who work on the movies I make is crucial to me.”

He emphasized, however, that there was no “cover-up,” contradicting Uma’s assertions.

He declared, “I never concealed anything from Uma or anybody else, and I never would have taken part in any cover-up of any type.

STUNT EXPERTS SAY UMA COULD HAVE DIED IN ACCIDENT
When Uma crashed on the Kill Bill set in 2018, stunt professionals told The Hollywood Reporter that Uma’s life was indeed in danger.

According to a SAG-AFTRA union official, the accident’s conditions “would be a potential safety violation.”

In order to ensure a proper and safe performance, only stunt professionals should execute stunts under the supervision of a stunt coordinator, the spokeswoman added.

It was a death box, according to Uma in her NYT interview. The seat wasn’t properly fastened with screws. The road was made of sand and was not straight.
