Update: Photos Show Armed Potential Subject on Nancy Guthrie’s Door Camera

The FBI has released surveillance images of a potential subject as investigators continue probing the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie.

The four photos, released by federal authorities, show a man wearing gloves, a face covering and a backpack who appears to be tampering with a camera at the front door of Guthrie’s Arizona home on the morning she vanished. FBI Director Kash Patel said the individual depicted in the images should be considered armed.

Despite the release of the images, the FBI said it has not identified any suspects or persons of interest in the case. The bureau also stated that it is “not aware of any continued communication between the Guthrie family and suspected kidnappers,” according to NBC News.

FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X:

“New images in the search for Nancy Guthrie:   Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors – including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.   Working with our partners – as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.   Anyone with information, please contact 1-800-CALL-FBI” or visit http://tips.fbi.gov

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was dropped off at her home outside Tucson, Arizona, on the night of Jan. 31 and was reported missing around noon the following day, Feb. 1. Her disappearance sparked a multi-agency investigation involving local authorities and the FBI.

Officials have urged anyone who recognizes the individual in the surveillance photos or has information related to the case to contact law enforcement as the investigation remains ongoing.
