What Rob Reiner’s Son Allegedly Said To Bill Hader Revealed

Nick Reiner, 32, was reportedly asked to leave Conan O’Brien’s holiday party just hours before his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, were found dead in their home.

The couple’s youngest son attended the party on Saturday, Dec. 13, with Rob, 78, and Michele, 68. Sources told Rolling Stone that Nick was brought along so his parents could keep an eye on him. While at the gathering, however, his behavior made several guests uncomfortable.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Nick interrupted comedian Bill Hader and other attendees by repeatedly asking the same questions, including their first and last names and whether they were famous. Guests said the interactions felt strange and unsettling.

At one point, Rob and Nick got into a heated argument. One guest claimed Rob told his son that his behavior was inappropriate. Another attendee later told The New York Times that Nick appeared anxious and uneasy throughout the evening, in a way that deeply unsettled those around him.

Nick was eventually asked to leave the party.

One partygoer told People, “Nick was freaking everyone out, acting crazy, kept asking people if they were famous.”

Their son is now facing two counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors said the charges include a special allegation that Reiner used a dangerous weapon — specifically a knife — according to Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman, who addressed the case on Tuesday.

Friends of the Reiner family have also spoken about Nick’s long history of substance abuse. They said his struggles with drug addiction began in his teenage years and continued for decades, with periods of homelessness and multiple stints in rehabilitation.
