White House Doctor Shares Insights on Trump’s Recent Medical Examination

The President’s Health Regularly Captures Social Media Attention

Donald Trump’s health has once again become a topic of discussion, following recent observations. Social media users have been buzzing after noticing what appeared to be a ‘large bruise’ on his hand. This has been a point of curiosity, especially since Trump’s team seemed to have tried concealing it with an abundance of foundation.

In addition to this, Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), raising further health concerns. CVI is a condition characterized by damaged veins in the legs, affecting their function.

White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, announced that Trump visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on October 10 for his annual check-up.

“On Friday morning, President Trump will visit Walter Reed Medical Center for a planned meeting and remarks with the troops,” Leavitt stated.

“While there, President Trump will undergo his routine yearly check-up. He will then return to the White House and is considering a trip to the Middle East shortly thereafter.”

CNN also reported that Trump had a similar visit to Walter Reed in April, which was then referred to as his ‘annual physical examination’. This being the second annual check-up within one year seemed unusual to some observers.

An expert, however, provided some clarity. Jacob Appel, a professor at Icahn School of Medicine and historian of presidential health, shared with McClatchy News, “It is rare, but not uncommon, for a president to have more than one annual check-up without any specific medical reason.”

Details from Trump’s April examination included data on his weight, body mass index, surgeries, mental health evaluations, cholesterol levels, and blood pressure.

Following his latest exam, his physician declared him to be in ‘exceptional health’.

“President Donald J. Trump remains in exceptional health, demonstrating strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance,” stated Navy Captain Sean Barbabella in a memo released by the White House.

Additionally, it was noted that Trump received his annual flu shot and a Covid-19 booster during the examination. Captain Barbabella also indicated that Trump’s cardiac age appears to be significantly younger than his actual age by about 14 years.

In response to questions regarding two annual exams in a single year, Trump referred to it as a ‘semiannual physical’.

Before the examination, the Miami Herald quoted Trump as having remarked, “I think I’m in great shape, but I’ll let you know… Is there wood around here? I’ll knock on it.”

Trump has never shied away from speaking about his health, often highlighting its state during his interactions with the military.

He recounted how a previous White House doctor praised his health as the best among presidents. In a recent speech to Navy personnel, Trump recalled doctor Ronny Jackson praising his physical condition.

Trump recalled Jackson saying, “He was also the doctor for Barack Hussein Obama, have you heard of him? And for a man named Bush. At a press conference, they asked him, ‘Who’s in the best shape, who’s the healthiest, who’s the strongest?’, and he said, ‘That’s easy. President Donald Trump!”

Trump concluded with, “And I said, ‘I love this guy!’”
