‘Wilderness Family’ Actor Passed Away At 82

The actor Robert Logan has passed away. He is best known for his work on The 77 Sunset Strip. He was 82.

According to People, his son Anthony Logan confirmed his death to the outlet. Although he died on May 6 of natural causes, his family waited until August 7 to make the announcement. He died in Estero, Florida.

His family told People “He was the embodiment of agape, literally the Platonic ideal of spousal or familiar love. They felt so lucky, so blessed, to experience that; so lucky and so blessed to know him.”

Robert Logan, an American actor born on May 29, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, has enjoyed a long and varied career in acting. Best known for his rugged good looks and warm screen presence, Logan had worked in both film and television.

Robert Logan grew up in a working-class family in Brooklyn, where he developed an early interest in acting. He moved to Hollywood in the early 1960s, seeking opportunities in television shows. His break came with a role on the TV series “77 Sunset Strip” in 1961, which opened the door to bigger roles.

Logan’s big break came with the family adventure film “The Adventures of the Wilderness Family” (1975), where he played Skip Robinson, a father who moves his family to the wilderness to escape the pressures of urban life. The film was a significant hit, leading to two sequels, “The Further Adventures of the Wilderness Family” (1978) and “Mountain Family Robinson” (1979).

Beyond the “Wilderness Family” series, Logan’s career included a variety of roles in both film and television. He appeared in other family-oriented movies such as “Across the Great Divide” (1976). His versatility had allowed him to play a wide range of characters, from adventurers to everyday heroes.

Logan married in 1985. He met his wife while filming the 1986 film ‘A Night in Heaven.’

The actor leaves behind his wife Alina, a son and daughter, a daughter-in-law, three granddaughters and four siblings.
