Rihanna is honoring her cousin Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne in the wake of the untimely passing of the latter.
The founder of Fenty, who is 33 years old, paid tribute to her cousin Alleyne on Sunday by posting a series of images to her Instagram account. Each photo depicts a different memory of Alleyne. She added the message, “miss you and dat smile cuz. #Tavon,” to the image she posted. In the comment area of the artist’s Instagram post, both fans and friends shared their sorrow for the loss of the singer by extending their love and prayers.
According to the Royal Barbados Police Force, Alleyne was murdered at St. Michael, near his house in Barbados, at approximately 7 p.m., even though there is still a great deal that is unknown regarding the manner in which he was killed. After firing shots, the suspect ran away from the area and has never been found to this day.
It is currently unknown whether or not Alleyne was the intended target of the shooting or whether or not it was completely random. He had only 21 years under his belt when he passed away as a result of the injuries he acquired at a nearby hospital. He celebrated the holidays with other members of his family, including Rihanna, in the hours leading up to his passing.
The artist initially disclosed the news of Alleyne’s passing shortly after it occurred, publishing a number of images with him and composing the following message: “Adieu, cousin… I still can’t believe it was only the night before when I was cradling you in my arms. Never in a million years would I have guessed that was the final time I would feel the warmth of your body!!! I will love you no matter what, dude!” She concluded the message by issuing a rallying cry and including the hashtag #EndGunViolence in the text.
A post commemorating Rihanna’s birthday was one of the last things Alleyne did online before passing away. In it, he wished his “favorite cousin” a happy birthday and conveyed all of his love and adoration for her. He said in the letter that “every day we are happy to have you in our lives.” “We hope you have a wonderful birthday, cousin; we love you very much. The very fact that you are in my life brings me nothing but pleasure and contentment. To the cousin I love the most, I hope that all of your hopes and dreams come true. Love you loads and hope there are many more to come!”
